From time to time we receive alerts from VISA about potentially compromised debit cards. In the event of those notices, and if they potentially impact a large number of our members, we will post infromation on this page about those alerts and the actions we're taking to ensure the safety of members' accounts.
At this time there are no VISA alerts.
Debit Card Phishing Text Messages

On Thanksgiving night, Connex received notification that some members may have received a text message containing some or all of the follow quote:
”CONNEX C.U. ALERT- Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED Please contact us at 203-717-4426. “.
This may be an attempt to “phish” data from an individual with the intent of using it for malicious activity. Connex Credit Union has and does not send text message alerts of this nature to its members. Connex Credit Union would never request sensitive information through a text message. It is important that you DO NOT respond to these types of messages. Protecting your sensitive information has and always will remain our highest priority.
