Ages birth to 12

Connex Credit Union offers a great opportunity for kids to get involved in their financial lives right from the start.

Regular Share Account

The $mart $tart Share Account is a great way to start the savings habit from an early age. Parents can utilize it right at birth to deposit gift money or start a savings plan. As the child gets older, it's the perfect tool to have the child interact directly with their own finances. A simple $25 opening deposit starts your child's financial future.

Mini Money Market

Our Mini Money Market:

  • Is available to all members age 25 and younger.
  • Has higher rates than the regular savings account to make the most of deposits.
  • Has a minimum balance adjusted to $250, much less than the regular Money Market.
  • Helps parents and children reinforce the idea that the more you save, the more you earn.
  • Has smaller scale tiers to making reaching goals a reality.


Ages 13 to 18

Connex Credit Union offers a great opportunity for teens to get involved in their financial futures.

As teens become young adults, they can maintain their membership by having a Regular Share Account and still take advantage of Mini Money Market and Youth Savings Challenge just like the children's accounts. Once the member reaches the age of 13, we add the ability for the member to get a checking account with their parent's signature.

Great checking benefits tailored to teens:

  • Save money with two coupons per year for an overdraft fee rebate.
  • Have peace of mind with the option to receive notice of overdraft by email.
  • Save time with e-statements and online services.
  • Visa Check Card available.
  • All the other great features of our Your Choice Checking Account are available.

Young Adult Accounts
Ages 18 to 25

As teens become young adults, they can maintain maintain their membership by having a Regular Share Account and still take advantage of the Mini Money Market to make higher-interest saving more realistic.

Keep the same features of the Teen Checking, including the overdraft rebate coupons. Upon reaching age of 18, receive SmartScore letters, Connex Credit Union's quarterly notification of your credit score. It is a great benefit that helps you understand your credit score and how it affects your financial life as well as offers tools to help increase the score if needed.
